The Last Will and Testament of JOHN McNEIGHT of BALLYNADOLLY dated 31st January 1890

I John McNeight of Ballynadolly do make this my last Will and testament. I bequeath in trust to my executors the entire of my lands and chattels whom I direct to pay all my just debts and divide all the remainder in the manner herinafter set forth I direct my executors to hand over to my son John Edward McNeight subject to the conditions herinafter set forth all that farm of land known as Ned McNeights and McCalls land except the little field on the south side of my dwelling house known as Neds field I further give to him the right to use for travelling and driving the lane I occupy from the public road to the east side of Wilkinsons hill also as much land off the south side of Wilkinsons hill together with the area contained in road as shall be equal in area to Neds field before mentioned that he John Edward McNeight pay over to my executors the sum of five pounds sterling at whatever time my executors may call upon him this sum I direct my executors to pay over to Joseph Moore two years after my death and also a further sum of ten pounds sterling at whatever time my executors may call upon him this sum I direct my executors to appropriate in whatever way they think proper towards the maintenance of my grandson John McNeight when receiving a trade. To my son William George McNeight I direct my executors to hand over the remaining portion of my lands known as the 'Home Farm' and Ned's field included subject to the following conditions that he provide Eliza Elliott with bed and board so long as she chooses to live with him and if she wishes to leave I direct that he pay over to my executors the sum of five pounds sterling which I direct my executors to hand over to her at whatever time and in whatever way they may think best also that he pay a sum of ten pounds sterling over to my executors when called upon for the maintenance of my grandson John McNeight to be put to a trade and if my son John Edward McNeight does not choose or allow the aforementioned John McNeight to be put to a trade I direct my executors to pay back to my son William George McNeight this legacy of ten pounds sterling. To my son William George McNeight I direct my executors to hand over all my household furniture and all my farming implements except a farm cart and cart harness which I empower my executors to hand over to my son John Edward McNeight if there be two farm carts at my decease my live stock and crop either reaped or growing I direct my executors to divide between my two sons two thirds of same to my son William George McNeight and the remaining one third to my son John Edward McNeight. I appoint as my executors Thomas Maires of Ballymave William John McNeight of Tullyrush and William John Kelly of Ballycarrickmaddy in the County of Antrim farmers whome I empower to apportion whatever rent may be due at my decease and all all testamentory expenses in proportionate sums on all my lands this to be paid over to my executors by my son John Edward McNeight and also to make all divides in chattels and lands between my two sons the decision of my executors in all cases to be final. Having heard this read over I declare it to be my Last Will and testament given in my hand this thirty first day of January in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety.
